Cicada Market is Hua Hin’s most creative weekend night out, a leafy open-air market near Khao Takiab where local artists, craft makers, food vendors and live musicians gather under the trees for a relaxed, festival-like evening.
A market with a creative soul
Cicada Market sits south of central Hua Hin near Khao Takiab, and it feels different from a typical street market. Wooden stalls and open lawns are shaded by trees, and the mood is unhurried. You will find independent artists selling paintings and prints, designers with handmade jewellery and clothing, and craft stalls full of ceramics, leather goods and gifts you will not see anywhere else. It is a lovely evening whether you are staying in our half villas or a full beachfront villa.
Food, music and atmosphere
The food court is a highlight, with a wide spread of Thai and international dishes served at communal tables. Live music plays through the evening, from acoustic sets to full bands, and there is often a small stage with performances. Cicada Market is a weekend market, generally running on evenings from around Friday to Sunday. It opens in the early evening and stays busy into the night. Because opening days and times can shift by season, check current hours and prices before you visit. Pair it with a daytime trip up nearby Khao Takiab to make a full afternoon and evening of the southern end of Hua Hin.
