One of the great joys of staying at Bayside 19 is that some of the best beaches in Hua Hin are right on your doorstep. The villas sit directly on the sand on Soi Hua Hin 19, in the heart of town, so you can wander from your pool to the shoreline in minutes. From the lively main beach to quiet southern stretches and calm family-friendly bays, here is where to find the right patch of sand for your day.

Hua Hin town beach, right at Soi 19
The main Hua Hin town beach runs right past Soi 19, which makes it the most convenient stretch of sand for guests at Bayside 19. It is a long, gently curving beach with soft sand, shallow water and an easygoing atmosphere. In the mornings it is quiet and perfect for a stroll or a swim; later in the day you will find beach chairs, snack vendors and the occasional pony trotting along the shore. Because it is central, cafes, restaurants and shops are only a short walk back from the sand.
Quieter southern stretches toward Khao Takiab
Head south from town and the beach opens up into wider, quieter stretches leading toward Khao Takiab, the headland also known as Monkey Mountain. These sands are less built up and feel more relaxed, ideal if you want space to spread out. This southern area is also the home of Hua Hin’s kite beach.
During the windy season, roughly January to March, steady breezes make the southern beaches a hotspot for kitesurfing. Even if you are not riding yourself, it is a lovely spot to watch the colourful kites arc across the water. To learn more about this stretch, see our guide to Khao Takiab and kite beach.
Family-friendly spots
Families are well looked after here. The gentle slope and shallow, calm water along much of the town beach make paddling safe for little ones, and the wide sand gives children plenty of room to build castles and run around. Quieter mornings are ideal for young families, and the many nearby cafes mean you are never far from an ice cream or a shady break. For calmer swimming, the sheltered pockets near the headland to the south are worth seeking out.
Time it with the tide
The right beach also depends on the water. At Bayside 19 the sea draws far out at low tide to leave wide, firm sand for walking, running and shell-hunting, then returns close to the seawall at high tide for easy swimming. Our Hua Hin beaches and tides guide breaks down which beach suits high, low and windy tides, with a live marine map and today’s tide times.
When to go
Hua Hin enjoys pleasant beach weather much of the year. The cool, dry months of November to February are the most comfortable for lounging and swimming, while March to May turns hot and is perfect if you love the sun. The June to October green season sees some rain, but the gulf side of the peninsula stays drier than much of Thailand, so beach days are still very much on the cards.
Wherever you choose to lay your towel, you are only steps from home. For more ideas on making the most of the area, read our full Hua Hin guide, or take a look at the beachfront villas at Bayside 19.
